Privacy Policy for RHYTHM CHALLENGE
Last updated: 9 February 2026
1. IntroductionThis Privacy Policy describes how RHYTHM CHALLENGE (“we”, “the app”) handles information when you use our iOS application. We do not collect personal data such as your name, email, or address. The app is offered by an independent developer; contact: hello@rhythmchallenge.app.Website: https://rhythmchallenge.app
2. Data we do not collectWe do not collect personally identifiable information. There is no account sign-up; we do not collect your name, email, phone number, or payment data.
3. Data stored only on your deviceThe following data is stored locally on your device and is not sent to our servers:
- Training history: results of your rhythm training sessions (scores, tempo, patterns, timestamps).
- Settings and preferences: e.g. last tempo, duration, calibration values, onboarding completion.
- Microphone: the app uses the microphone only on your device to analyze your playing in real time. No audio is recorded or transmitted. Processing happens locally.
You can share some of your results (e.g. from the detailed analysis screen) using your device’s share sheet; that sharing is under your control and is not sent to us.
4. Data sent to third-party servicesWe use Google Firebase to improve the app and fix crashes. The following may be sent to Google (see
Firebase Privacy):
- Analytics (Firebase Analytics)
Aggregated usage events (e.g. “training started”, “training completed”, “results viewed”) and anonymous parameters (e.g. tempo, duration, success percentage). This helps us understand how the app is used. No personal data is included.
- Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics)
If the app crashes, technical data (e.g. device model, OS version, stack traces) is sent to help us fix bugs. No personal data is included.
- Push notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging)
If you allow notifications, a device token is used to deliver push messages. We do not use this to identify you personally. These services have their own privacy policies. We do not sell your data.
5. Your choices
- Microphone: You can deny microphone access in your device Settings; training that requires listening to your playing will not work without it.
- Notifications: You can disable push notifications in your device Settings.
- Local data: Uninstalling the app removes all data stored on your device. We do not have access to that data.
- Analytics/crash data: Once sent to Google, it is subject to Google’s policies. We do not provide an in-app option to delete that data from Google’s systems.
6. Children and ageThe app does not target children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone. The app has no age restriction from our side.
7. International useThe app may be used globally. Data sent to Firebase is processed by Google, including in the United States and other countries.
8. Changes to this policyWe may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
